Vancouver has so much to offer in and around its hosting of the Canada International Film Festival, from some excellent cultural attractions to Granville Street's vibrant nightlife. Book flights to Vancouver or car rental in Vancouver here.

Flying to Vancouver is no problem as the magnificent Vancouver International Airport is the second busiest in the Canada. The airport is located just 12 kilometers from downtown Vancouver, making it easy to quickly get into the heart of the action surrounding the Canada International Film Festival.

Once you're in downtown Vancouver, traveling to the Edgewater Casino, or other of the festival's venues and attractions is made all the more easy by the city's excellent subway network, as well as the new Sky Train Canada Line.

When you're not enjoying the delights of the Canada International Film Festival, there are many more things that downtown Vancouver has to offer.

When the weather is nice, Stanley Park, one of the largest urban parks in North America, is definitely worth a visit. The park maintains a natural beauty unlike any other and covers an area just in excess of 1,000 acres.

The city boasts a rich musical heritage, and there are some fantastic venues to enjoy all genres of music in the city including GM place and the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. At the same time there are more intimate musical performances in places like the Plaza of nations, for example, as well as in many local bars in downtown Vancouver.

Downtown Vancouver is also renowned for having an excellent dining scene with some fantastic restaurants. The variety on offer is truly astonishing, and seasonal dining is also concentrated on in the city with many restaurants having seasonal menus.

The Granville Entertainment District is also located in downtown Vancouver, and is the heart and soul of the city's nightlife. Granville Street is home to a diverse range of bars and nightclubs for those wanting to party into the night long after the film festival is over.
